Becky G

Rebbeca Marie Gomez (born March 2, 1997), known professionally as Becky G, is an American singer, songwriter and actress. Gomez gained prominence in 2011 through YouTube covers. Known for successfully transitioned to Latin music, and fostering a career that spans pop, reggaetón, and acting in films. Gomez signed with Kemosabe Records in a joint venture with RCA Records, and also affiliated with Sony Music Latin for her Spanish-language releases. Throughout her career, she has consistently released music under this Kemosabe/RCA/Sony Latin partnership. After commercial failures of her debut single, "Becky from the Block" and her debut EP, Play It Again in 2013. In 2014, Gomez achieved mainstream success with the release of "Shower", which reaching the top twenty on the US Billboard Hot 100. In 2016, Gomez release her first full Spanish-language song and debut into the Latin market. Gomez has recorded collabs with will.i.am, Cody Simpson, Cher Lloyd, Pitbull, Christina Aguilera and among others. Gomez has released four studio albums. The first of these, Mala Santa (2019), reached the top five of the Hot Latin Songs with its singles "Mayores" and "Sin Pijama", while "Cuando Te Besé" became Gomez's first number-one single on the Argentina Hot 100. She followed it with Esquemas (2022), contained "Mamiii", her first number-one on the Hot Latin Songs. She also launched the Regional Mexican albums, Esquinas (2023) and Encuentros (2024), produced the Regional Mexican Airplay number-one singles "Por el Contrario" and "Mercedes". On television, Gomez starred in La estación de la Calle Olvera (2008), Empire (2015) and judged the Becoming a Popstar (2022). She also starred in the films, including Power Rangers (2017), A.X.L. (2018) and the documentary Rebecca (2025). She provided her voice in the Gnome Alone (2017), and Blue Beetle (2023). Gomez has received various accolades, including three American Music Awards, a Billboard Latin Music Award, nine Latin American Music Awards, five Lo Nuestro Awards, three People's Choice Awards, and seven Premios Juventud. She has appeared in listicles such as the Forbes 30 Under 30 (2023), Time 100 (2025), and received the Billboard's Impact Award (2023). Outside of music and acting, Gomez advocates for immigrant rights, gender equality, mental health and the empowerment of the Latinx community. She founded the cosmetic company Treslúce Beauty.
